Mycobacterium bovis BCG Mexico


Mycobacterium bovis BCG Mexico is a pathogenic strain isolated from Mexico associated with tuberculosis in human and zoonotic host (Dankner and Davis, 2000). The genome was sequenced at Cinvestav Campus Guanajuato Center and has a characteristic high GC content of 65.66% (http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/w/main.cgi). Identification and analysis of secretomes can prove worthy to elucidate the pathogenic strategies employed by the organism.
