Mycobacterium intracellulare MOTT-02

 

Mycobacterium intracellulare MOTT-02 is an opportunistic human pathogen associated with pulmonary complicatiuons and tuberculosis like disease (Kim et al., 2012). The strain is a member of Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) and belongs to INT2 genotype of Mycobacterium intracellulare (Kim et al., 2012). The genome is a GC rich one with 68.10% GC content and was sequenced at the Asan medical center, Seoul, Korea (http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/w/main.cgi).
