Mycobacterium sp. MOTT36Y


Mycobacterium intracellulare clinical strain MOTT-36Y is reported to be a member of INT5 genotype of Mycobacterium intracellulare, associated with pulmonary infections in human host (Kim et al., 2012a). Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium intracellulare constitute the Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC). It is a GC rich genome with a GC content of around 67.91 % and was sequenced at Seoul National University College of Medicine (http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/w/main.cgi).
