Mycobacterium tuberculosis RGTB327 is a clinical isolate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolated from South India (Madhavilatha et al., 2012). The pathogen is associated with tuberculosis in human beings. The genome is characterized by a large deletion of sixty six genetic segments with respect to the parental strains of tuberculosis (Madhavilatha et al., 2012). The genome has a high GC content of 65.63% (http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/w/main.cgi).
