Mycobacterium tuberculosis RGTB423

 

Mycobacterium tuberculosis RGTB423 is a pathogenic isolate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis that was obtained from South India associated with tuberculosis infection (Madhavilatha et al., 2012). The genome has a high GC content of around 65.62% (http://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/w/main.cgi). The genome has fifty seven large deletions of genetic segments with respect to parental tuberculosis strains (Madhavilatha et al., 2012).
